Variety is the spice of life

Or so they say…. Variety is certainly a very good word to describe the range of projects we have currently going through the factory and if spice means keeping us on our toes then we agree 100%.

Banquette are a constant feature in our production schedules – all shapes and sizes and for an every-increasing number of environments and sectors. We have just priced a project which includes well over 70 metres – curves, U-shapes, straight sections – and it is rare to get drawings now which do not include some element of banquette seating, often including planters to bring some biophilic touches.

Modular seating, too, is at the forefront of the mix. In particular, our Kolbak, Stella and Zeta ranges are in constant demand. We have just delivered these units to a client along with some of our Silva lounge chairs, which look beautiful upholstered in a pale pink wool.

And then there is the constant demand for re-upholstery – that is the definition of variety as you can see from the images below. Everything from office meeting room chairs to auditoriums and cinemas, simple lounge chairs to elaborate armchairs.

We do also get what can only be described as “unusual” requests for items that need upholstering. We are not talking about things like headboards and acoustic panels – they are normal, even very large and elaborate ones.

No, we are talking about entire landscapes on a large scale – mountains, ploughed fields (which is the current project) – right the way to store displays and suede-lined jewellery trays.
